The outcome of the session is to put you in touch with what you were born to do, or at least to give you resources to do that. It will also the ability to complete areas of your life that are getting in the way of living a life you love.

Terry Elston

Motivation is being able to do something even though you don’t enjoy it. How often have you looked at someone doing well and asked “How do they stay so motivated?” and then you realise they actually enjoy what they are doing; that doesn’t require motivation. In order to initiate the neurochemistry of motivation, you must associate massive pleasure with achieving your goal, and or massive pain with not achieving it. The pleasure centres in your brain, once activated will generate Dopamine, known to help drive you to overcome your own objections. However in time, this process must be replaced with new neurological pathways that form habits, it’s these new neurological maps that make a behaviour permanent. Understanding the Habit Loop, and how to change it using NLP and other coaching modalities, can effectively initiate this process and help clients move from desire to achievement – and change for good. Help delegates understand the neurology of motivation and what has to occur to increase dopamine production, and also to understand that this process is relatively short lived and new neurological pathways or habits must take over the task for long term success to occur. Delegates will have an understanding of what activates the brains pleasure centres and also a practical technique to change a habit.

Janet Thomson

You’ll be empowered with the skills and techniques you need to gain an invincible mindset in any environment. This interactive seminar will provide you with an understanding of how emotions affect our life and work performance and how to take control of your emotional state.

This is an experiential session which allows the delegate to understand how the voice works and the ways in which NLP can be used to effect change within their own voice and that of their client’s. With public speaking being the third biggest fear both here and the U.S. a deeper understanding is invaluable to today’s NLP Professional. The basis of the confident voice is the low relaxed breath. Delegates will learn how to access this using modalities, versus the traditional process, which can take years, as opposed to minutes to master. We shall then explore how a variety of NLP techniques combined with more conventional voice coaching methods can be used to support the voice and the speaker, allowing them to access their flow state and a truly confident voice. This session will be of use to everyone who speaks in public or has clients that do so. Understand how the voice works. Be clear on the unique mind/ body connection within voice, speech and presenting. Experience how the constructs of NLP fit seamlessly with the process to enable the speaker to fully access and utilise their confident voice. Learn how to access the low relaxed breath using modalities and how this is key to getting into the zone rather than allowing nerves to take over. See how having a good strategy can positively impact performance. Hear how anchoring can support and elicit the flow state in regards to breath and how using sub-modalities can change the speaker’s perception of standing up in front of an audience.

Maybe you’ve heard that in the first minute, your client has told you everything you need to know? Actually, they will have told you even before they begin speaking. Just imagine what you could do with that kind of knowledge. Many trainers trivialise or gloss over Meta Model, turning it into a tedious series of fact-finding questions. Some don’t even train it at all. Yet even Bandler said that if you know Meta Model, you can work out all of the Practitioner techniques. It’s the basis of modelling, and it should be something you’re using at the start of every client interaction. Maybe you think that nominalisations are frozen moments in time, or distorted referential indices are dissociations? What if I could show you that these interpretations aren’t true? What if I could show you how these, and all of the Meta Model patterns, are more. So, so much more. If you really want to know Meta Model and be amazed at the sheer volume of information packed into our language and behaviour then this is the workshop for you. By the end of this workshop… You will understand Meta Model at a level beyond what you thought possible with this amazing, flexible, all-purpose insight into the inner workings of your client’s mind. Or of anyone’s mind. You will be able to understand exactly what anyone means, regardless of what they say or feel able to say – how’s that for rapport? Your coaching sessions will be shorter, more impactful and more rewarding for both you and your client. You’ll finally be able to work content-free by uncovering the hidden structure of your client’s behaviour patterns.

This original process is based on deepening the traditional coaching approach of building regular ‘steps’ to lasting change...to build habits for lasting change, to identify what key habits the client is not doing, discover what stops them and then a scheduling technique with some ‘wriggle room’ to enable to obtain a congruent ‘promise to self’.

Robbie Steinhouse

Participants will be able to induce trance help their client to relax and focus. They will have a better understanding of the Milton Model and Erickson's hypnotic language patterns.

Provocative coaching, developed from the 80’s by Frank Farrelly, is a combination of warmth, humor and challenges. This unique cocktail offers possibilities that you won’t find in ‘traditional’ coaching. And yet it harnesses ‘resistance’-forces that most people recognize. Sometimes the fastest way to help someone do something is to tell them they can’t. Provocative coaching is a distant relative of ‘paradoxical intention’ and ‘reverse psychology’. The coach, being the jester or the devil’s advocate, encourages the client to do their problem more: do some more of that, think some more of that, feel some more of that! Where other approaches are mostly directly supportive (“I believe in you, you can do it”), the provocative coach discourages the client’s goals (You can’t be a good father, you have an ego like the Graf Zeppelin!”). And yet provocative coaching is not only confrontation. The challenges are presented with humor and warmth. This is what makes it quite different from simple confrontation. And this is also why coaches need training to learn how to do it well. Participants will be helped to understand what provocative coaching is. They will see some demonstrations and do an excercise. Back at work, they might even make a few provocative jokes with their favorite clients. Some of them will experience more freedom and spontaneity in their work, having overcome – to some extent – their phobia of being ‘unprofessional’ and their addiction to immediate gratitude.

I believe that NLP is an effective tool that can cut across national, religious and ethnic lines and help empower those who are engaged in creating the next generation citizens (parents and teachers). When a larger fraction of the next generation will operate from the Cause End rather than the Effect End we will have citizens who will create an Ecological Society. The topic of my proposed talk is coming from my experience of working with a Psychologist at a school in urban India and a teacher in rural India. I work with teachers to participate in my NLP Certification Programs at a fraction of the price to cover costs giving me an opportunity to see them apply NLP in their day to day work. Encouraged by their outcomes I believe that scaling this effort will create a greater impact on the coming generations. A global effort is called for. The outcome of this session is to create a global think tank and a task force that will do the following: 1) Create crisp content in multiple languages for parents and teachers 2) Connect with governments, voluntary and funding organizations and the United Nations to generate support 3) Build teams of foot soldiers who will deliver and help society assimilate the core principles of NLP to help create a new world.

Right now there’s a lot of buzz around neuroscience which is reminiscent of what happened with NLP. In this workshop, Ian McDermott and Professor of Applied Neuroscience Patricia Riddell will explore the interface between NLP and neuroscience. Drawing on their past 5 years of working together they will demonstrate both where neuroscience can enhance our understanding of NLP and where NLP might point to new directions of research in neuroscience. They will also bust some myths on what can be studied using modern neuroscience techniques. Using examples from recent findings in epigenetics, neurostability and neuroplasticity, this interactive workshop will provide new insights into how NLP and neuroscience can enhance our understanding of why we behave as we do and how we might create greater choice in our behaviour. Safe or dangerous is decided at body level and massively impacts: other filters, behaviours, anxiety levels and the ability to process new information or remain stuck. Understand: why access to safety is fundamental for change to occur and how the different types of traumas/life events impact it. Spot the clues: Behavioural, time line arrangement, self image representations, body and health responses. Learn: 3 crucial questions to ask refinements of the meta program safe or dangerous, with case studies Experience: new T.P.M. processes and other methods of building safety Thought Pattern Management™ TPM (evolved from NLP) teaches the importance of making all change safe. This safety master class will include knowledge and evidenced research from other fields including EMDR and reference ‘The Body Keeps the Score’ Bessel Van Der Kolk. Participants will learn and experience processes and principles to create resilient safety now, in past reference memories and for the future. For all practitioners, whatever level of training and context they work in to be able to: · appreciate the massive impact safe or dangerous filters have and how increased anxiety as adults is often linked to a past memory and source pattern. · spot clues to when creating safety is required. · build safety for others using processes and principles evolved from NLP, TPM and EMDR. The speakers will share theory with case studies, and will lead interactive processes that teach the mind new possibilities. As the learning will be new to the NLP community, it is relevant to both beginners as well as advanced NLP trained.

The content of this session uses research of interpersonal neurobiology and social sciences to explain how our evolutionary experiences created what we call stress, and why is it a problem in a modern environment. It will include scientific exploration of evolutionary development of fear and anger as a tool to cope with extreme threats, and how to use this powerful energy to fuel positive outcomes. I will use demonstrations of physical and neurological exercises that can release certain hormones to balance the states, and will show practical ways of using the body to control the mind, and other way around. The aim of this session is to enable listeners to acquire deeper knowledge about the evolutionary history of stress, its physical effects on our body in a modern environment, and how this knowledge can be used in practical application to have better controls of our emotional and physical well-being. For NLP practitioners and therapists that would mean being able to notice different physical signs of stress and guide clients to build resilience to stress, have better body and mind balance, and even use healthy levels of stress to fuel positive intentions. For people is business and seeking personal transformations, this session would give basic skills to manage levels of stress and change some unhelpful habit of physical working environments, as well as coping tools, including physical postures to counteract effects of stress on the body.

Insight is not simple. We are seldom our own best observers. Sooooo, how does it work, or perhaps, how do “I” work? Observe, observe, observe. (The world is outside your head) During this training we will; learn and practice skill sets, learn to recognize the signals when we lose choice (become robots to the patterns from the past), learn and practice the internal patterns that drive our beneficial, consistent self-development, and free ourselves from the hidden patterns that stop us from being the calm, centered, super person we all have inside. We might even have some fun during the process. You will be discussing, learning, and building the ‘Heart of NLP’.

NLP increases your ability to be powerful and influential. Many caring people are hesitant to fully step into their power. What happens to people, society, the defenseless, the planet if caring people are not willing to be more powerful? They create a power vacuum that is filled by people who aren’t afraid of power, many of whom will use it primarily for their own egocentric purposes. The world needs caring people to step into their power. In this session, you will be guided through Energetic NLP processes to clear unconscious programming and limiting beliefs that cause you to hesitate to fully step into your power. You will open up to being more powerful and influential, and, importantly, set up your inner wisdom and spirit to automatically guide your use of power. You will also enhance your ability to respond well to powerful people, even if they are not using their power with integrity. In this fun and supportive session you will clear and heal unconscious and energetic programming, limiting beliefs, and “spiritual contracts”; open up your authentic power; and connect your power with your inner wisdom and spirit so that you will use your power well. You will also enhance your ability to be powerful when in the presence of powerful or aggressive people.

Mindfulness is about bringing awareness, softness and openness to the present moment. It requires skill and commitment to wake ourselves up from our habitual patterns and self-serving cognitive biases. In NLP triggers and reactive patterns are known as ‘anchors’ or more accurately ‘negative anchors’. When these triggers are frequent and become disruptive to our normal equilibrium we tend to think of our experience of them as stressful. However ‘stress’ is a process and has a structure that can be modelled. New more useful and meaningful maps which support our well being and basic sanity can be learned. Our inner worlds of ‘stress’ can be transformed. Modelling with NLP takes mindfulness practice to new levels of subtle awareness. Using basic tools relating to physiology, to linguistic patterns and to visual representations an NLP coach can help someone both understand and change how and why they are limiting their choices and sense of potential. Bringing leading edge coaching models together in practice – the somatic and the cognitive – to deal with stress and reactive patterns is a game changer in professional coaching. It requires more skill and flexibility from the coach but offers more depth and variety for the client, giving them life skills and multiple pathways for change. Participants will have more coaching choices from exploring connections and approaches from • NLP Modelling tools to identify patterns and triggers for stress • NLP-based Somatic Coaching approaches for healing and recovery • NLP linguistic models to explore Cognitive Bias and distorted thinking • Mindfulness practices for coaches and clients • Holistic NLP for well being and personal evolution
