Modelling and Mindfulness with NLP: Effective Coaching Working with Stress and Reactive Patterns
Mindfulness is about bringing awareness, softness and openness to the present moment. It requires skill and commitment to wake ourselves up from our habitual patterns and self-serving cognitive biases.
In NLP triggers and reactive patterns are known as ‘anchors’ or more accurately ‘negative anchors’. When these triggers are frequent and become disruptive to our normal equilibrium we tend to think of our experience of them as stressful.
However ‘stress’ is a process and has a structure that can be modelled. New more useful and meaningful maps which support our well being and basic sanity can be learned. Our inner worlds of ‘stress’ can be transformed.
Modelling with NLP takes mindfulness practice to new levels of subtle awareness. Using basic tools relating to physiology, to linguistic patterns and to visual representations an NLP coach can help someone both understand and change how and why they are limiting their choices and sense of potential.
Bringing leading edge coaching models together in practice – the somatic and the cognitive – to deal with stress and reactive patterns is a game changer in professional coaching. It requires more skill and flexibility from the coach but offers more depth and variety for the client, giving them life skills and multiple pathways for change.
Participants will have more coaching choices from exploring connections and approaches from
• NLP Modelling tools to identify patterns and triggers for stress
• NLP-based Somatic Coaching approaches for healing and recovery
• NLP linguistic models to explore Cognitive Bias and distorted thinking
• Mindfulness practices for coaches and clients
• Holistic NLP for well being and personal evolution
