Presenter Experience Blog Series - Joanna Harper

I had a fantastic time at the 2017 NLP Conference.

I spent three inspiring days chatting to, laughing with and catching up with NLP friends and colleagues; also making many new connections and renewing acquaintances.

The Conference team were really welcoming, organised and supportive throughout. Their attention to detail for Presenters was so reassuring, both before the event and during. Help offered to presenters included printing hand-outs, performing sound checks and offering IT support.

My presentation was well received and feedback was very positive both on the day and the detailed written feedback I received afterwards. I really enjoyed Presenting to such a positive, engaged and diverse group.

This is the first time I’ve presented at the NLP Conference. I was in the NLP Extensions stream introducing an NLP related topic, Integral Eye Movement Therapy, known as IEMT to NLP Professionals.

The session was interactive, fun and the group attending were enthusiastic in experimenting with the introductory IEMT exercises and keen to give their feedback on their own experiences of the techniques and ask many interesting questions.

The Conference Venue looked professional and layout was ideal for socialising between Presentations and after. With refreshments available in a central area it became a great networking location and place to meet and discuss the Presentations with others. It was ideal to have a Conference Area that was separate to the hotel and restaurant.

I attended a diverse range of Presentations, and was inspired by so much amazing work which is being done with NLP to benefit others, develop the field in multiple directions and raise standards.

My reflections on the whole experience are all positive and my intended outcome of raising awareness of the benefits of IEMT to NLP Professionals was achieved way beyond my expectations.
