NLP has been a significant part of our lives since 1991 when we met on an NLP practitioner training in London. We were even married by Todd Epstein in Santa Cruz at NLP University at the end of our trainer’s training in 1992!

We helped found the Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (NLPtCA) and establish NLPt as a psychotherapy recognised by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). And we were among the first NLPt psychotherapists added to the UKCP register, 30 years ago.

Our book, Metaphors in Mind: Transformation through Symbolic Modelling was the first comprehensive model of David Grove’s work up to 2000. We created the first website devoted to developments of Grove’s approach and cleanlanguage.com now contains over 300 freely-available articles. James has also co-authored Insights in Space,the only book devoted to Clean Space, one of Grove’s later developments. And more recently James co-edited the academic book, Clean Language Interviewing: Principles and Applications for Researchers and Practitioners.
